The intervention goes beyond aesthetic renovation. It redefines spatial logic and guest experience through a strategic reprogramming of the common areas. Anonymous spaces such as the former breakfast room and vending areas were removed to integrate a café-restaurant directly into the lobby, turning it into an open, vibrant social hub for both visitors and locals
The interior concept avoids the neutrality of international hotel chains, embracing instead a strong local narrative. In the guestrooms, the intervention is precise and graphic, introducing new finishes, lighting and custom geometric headboards that articulate the space. In common areas, the transformation is structural and atmospheric.

In collaboration with Folch, a new brand identity was developed around a unique narrative: Barcelona seen through the eyes of Onix — the founder’s grandfather’s dog, who gives the hotel its name. A series of illustrations by Miguel Monkc are subtly integrated throughout the project, reinforcing its personal and authentic character.
The project is completed with bespoke elements, including large extruded glass wall lamps and modular clover-shaped side tables, alongside selected commercial pieces designed by Lagranja for Isimar and Santa & Cole.
