When we held the first prototype in our hands, we realized that its modesty, use of color and practicality was similar to the design language of Miguel Milá and André Ricard, both masters of their field. Mila, because his elegant reading lamps employ simple yet ingenious mechanisms to adjust height and direction. And Ricard, because he gave dignity to plastic and industrial design. So we named the coat rack Milard − an accidental homage to two Catalan design maestros.
