Interior Design, Workplaces

In line with the axiom ‘form follows function’ by Louis Sullivan, founder of modernist architecture, a space has been designed in which functionality gravitates over aesthetics. When Agustín Vivancos contacted us, he conveyed the idea that it should be a space that favors unexpected interactions. That’s how to make an office dynamic’.

Removing the false ceiling was key to achieving the objective. This decision made it possible to project two levels, to design an open-plan office with common spaces that would encourage people to connect with each other, and also to incorporate modular structures that function as rooms for teamwork sessions to promote privacy.

On floor 0 are located those boxes of fir wood with acoustic insulation and air-conditioned interspersed between open work areas, rest area, a tier for presentations, dining room, workshop, warehouse and toilets. A spiral staircase is the access to floor 1, where the rest area and a meeting space for 10 people are located.

Interior Design, Workplaces

From the first meeting it was clear to me that Jungle should not be inspired by nature. The energy and the cosmopolitan vibe prevailed more than other discourses’. The inspiration is urban. In the 700 m², unpainted plasterboard, plaster, galvanized steel, tile flooring and metal predominate in a range of grays combined with fluorescent mimosa yellow details. Lampposts with old restored Barcelona city heads and galvanized steel poles with fluorescent pink paint are the finishing touch to a project that suggests the speed and rhythm of a cosmopolitan city like Barcelona but also Mediterranean calm and tranquility.
