This piece was inspired by the vacuum-sealed olives. The volume of each olive is emphasized by the lack of air between them and the amount of olives that are hold in place creates an irregular, interesting texture.
This discovery inspired us to experiment with something similar in an interior design project. Terramar Hotel was the perfect scenario, as our goal for this project was to explore and create new textures. Therefore, we covered the front part of the reception desk with boards composed of metal frames and marbles fixed in place with resin. The marbles have different sizes and add a touch of color to the space. They are backlit with warm light that gives continuity and dynamism to the composition.
